So we just completed the most successful 5 game road trip in the history of the Penguins.That's nifty and stuff, but all that did was get us back into the race.
Florida is highly motivated to get to the dance (compared to a few other teams - ahem Montreal and New York)
The Panthers will be missing two of their better players Horton and McCabe, so the table is set nicely for us - playoff teams take advantage of things like this, so we'll call this another test.
We will be missing Sykora for tonight's game (upper body)
We haven't done well against the Panthers at home lately:
Penguins are 3-7-1 in their last 11 home games against Florida....what the hell?
Time is right to remedy that ghey little stat. On a side note, the aforementioned Canadiens fired Guy Carbonneau last night - we can only hope this doesn't infuse energy into the team like it did for us when Therrien was let go.... something to keep an eye on for sure.
